LGMG North America has launched the S3232E electric slab scissor lift in Canada, expanding its mobile elevating work platform range in the market.

The machine is designed for indoor work in areas restricted by standard doorways, narrow aisles and other tight spaces, while still providing additional working height. Built for repeated rental use, it focuses on straightforward operation and easier servicing.

Indoor reach

The S3232E has a maximum indoor platform height of 32ft 10in, or 10 metres, and a machine width of 33in, or 0.83 metres. That combination is intended to help operators work in tall buildings while still moving through confined indoor spaces.

Potential applications include data centre construction, commercial building work, warehouse projects, industrial facilities and general facility maintenance. The lift is drivable at full height, allowing operators to move along a work area without lowering and raising the platform between positions.

The platform has a capacity of 551lb, or 250kg, for up to two occupants. A 2ft 11in, or 0.9 metre, extension deck provides extra space for tools and materials while keeping the overall footprint compact.

Mark Elton, Director of Product Management at LGMG North America, said demand for this type of machine has been rising in sectors that need both height and manoeuvrability indoors.

"The S3232E is gaining popularity because it combines two capabilities customers increasingly need - a compact design that can navigate tight indoor environments and the working height required for modern construction and maintenance projects," said Mark Elton, Director of Product Management at LGMG North America.

"That versatility makes it an excellent fit for a wide range of applications, including the growing demand for data center construction and maintenance," Elton added.

Service focus

The scissor lift uses permanent magnet synchronous motors for both drive and lift functions. The sealed motors do not require maintenance during their service life and are designed to increase the amount of work completed on a single charge.

Other standard features include leak containment and a keyed brake release switch. The switch allows the machine to be moved, winched or towed when required.

The unit is also telematics-ready, allowing customers to add their own telematics system or use an optional system from LGMG. This reflects wider demand from rental fleet operators for remote visibility into equipment use, location and servicing needs.

Canadian market

The launch adds a higher-reaching model to LGMG's Canadian line-up of mobile elevating work platforms as equipment buyers and rental companies balance productivity demands with tighter indoor operating conditions. Narrow slab scissor lifts are commonly used in fit-out, maintenance and industrial settings where machines must pass through standard entrances while still providing enough lift for overhead work.

Support for the machine in Canada will come through LGMG's ProCare service programme and its North American sales, service and parts network. The company manufactures mobile elevating work platforms and telehandlers and serves customers in more than 100 countries.

LGMG North America is based in The Colony, near Dallas, and oversees sales, service and parts distribution across the region.
